Wellbeing
The wellbeing of our children, their families and our staff is a priority at Holy Trinity. We have an inclusive, supportive and caring ethos and we ensure that every individual and contribution is valued.
At our school we always encourage children to be confident and resilient learners. Kerri-anne Wakefield is our Family Liaison Officer and Senior Mental Health Lead. As part of her role, she supports parents and staff with helping children to understand their emotions and feelings. It is important to us that children feel comfortable and safe sharing their concerns and worries with their trusted adults.
It can feel difficult to know how to start a conversation with a child about their wellbeing. Sometimes this is because you don’t feel equipped with the information you think you need, or you don’t feel confident enough to open up the conversation. This guide shows you what action to take and how to handle a mental health disclosure.
