Safeguarding
At Holy Trinity Primary School are dedicated to ensuring that our children are safe and happy at all times. The Safeguarding of their welfare and well-being is the school’s top priority.
In accordance with our safeguarding policy, this is defined as:
- Protecting pupils from maltreatment.
- Preventing the impairment of pupils’ mental and physical health or development.
- Ensuring that pupils grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care.
- Taking action to enable all pupils to have the best outcomes.
The school’s designated safeguarding lead is Liam Styles. Its deputy designated safeguarding leads are: Stefan Roos , Kerri Wakefield, Kirsty West, Ruth Edge and Claire Dias. All of these staff members have attended designated safeguarding lead in education training within the last two years.
The designated leads are the main contact points for any safeguarding issues within the school.

The school also has a designated safeguarding governor, David Powell (Co-Chair of Governors), who supports the school in its strategic safeguarding work as well as with policy and accountability.
Safeguarding is the responsibility of all members of school staff and a regular training programme is delivered to all staff. All members of staff, regardless of their role in school, have completed a 3-hour child protection awareness in education training as a minimum.
