I joined the governing body in autumn 2017 as a foundation governor with responsibility for overseeing the school's SEN and diversity programme, and am also a member of the RE and Worship Committee. I have two children in Holy Trinity, and as a former pupil, have a particular interest in helping to uphold the excellent standards of the school. I work in publishing, and volunteer for a number of literacy charities.

I am a Foundation Governor and I joined the Governing body following my appointment as Priest-In-Charge of Holy Trinity Church, East Finchley, in October 2016. I sit in the RE & Worship Committee. The relationship between our school and our church goes back to 1847 and it is important for me and for our church community to keep nourishing it. One of my priorities as the priest of Holy Trinity church is to oversee the spiritual wellbeing of our pupils, their parents, and that of our school staff. I am in school regularly on Wednesday mornings, when I lead the Assembly and I am also available for spiritual assistance.

Mary Beer is a board-level marketing expert and commercial strategist who, over the last 20 years, has served on global senior leadership teams for major international organisations including BBC Worldwide, FremantleMedia, Flextech Television (Virgin Media) and Phonographic Performance Ltd. 

A single mother of Year 5 twins and a committed feminist, Mary moved from media into girls’ education in 2017. She is currently Director of Marketing & Communications at Streatham & Clapham High School GDST, an independent school for girls from aged 3 (Nursery) to 18 (Sixth Form), ranked in the top 20% of public examinations results nationally. As well as serving on the school’s SLT, she is a senior strategic advisor to the Head Master, Dr Millan Sachania.  She is active in pastoral, curricular and co-curricular matters and is currently on the panel recruiting the school’s new head of PHSCE. 

She continues to campaign for pro-literacy and inclusion causes, including Save Barnet Libraries, and is a member of Holy Trinity Church, where her children were baptised.

I am a lawyer with nearly 20 years’ experience working in the City, initially in private practice before moving on to work in-house for a global financial institution. I have two daughters at the school. I hope to continue the work of my predecessor in strengthening the connection between our school and our church, in what I believe to be a symbiotic relationship. I am also passionate about encouraging, ensuring and maintaining Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace, and believe that the key to that is in educating our children to be open-minded, empathetic and inclusive in their lives

Paul Grey has lived in East Finchley for 36 years. He has two daughters, now in their twenties, and they both attended HTS. He has been a secondary history teacher, a primary school governor, an Ofsted inspector and a local authority adviser. He was a HTS governor until 2004. Now retired, he wants to gift his time and expertise to help move the school forward in the next stage of its development.
