Pupil Premium
The pupil premium was introduced in April 2011. It is allocated to schools for children of statutory school age who are known to be eligible for free school meals (FSM) or children who have been eligible at any time during the previous six years. It is also for children who have been looked after by the local authority continuously for more than six months, and children whose parents are currently serving in the armed forces.
Schools receive £1385 per child in receipt of the pupil premium grant (£1455 from April 2023) and £2410 per looked after child (LAC.) (£2530 from April 2023)
The purpose of this funding is to help schools to narrow the attainment gap that exists between pupils from disadvantaged and those who come from more affluent backgrounds.

Monitoring Impact of Pupil Premium Funding
The Governors regularly monitor the impact that the Pupil Premium Fund has on the children in our Full Governing Body Meetings, Financial Governor Committee Meetings (FSB) and Our Curriculum Committee Meetings (CPC). The FSB meet every half term and the CPC meet 4 times a year.
