Appeals to holy trinity ce primary school
If your child has not been offered a place at Holy Trinity School this is because more children wanted to go to the school than there are places available.
Although there is a right of appeal against a decision not to offer your child a place at the school, the grounds for appealing are very restricted because infant class sizes must not exceed 30.
An appeal panel can only allow an appeal in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 if it is satisfied that, either:
(a) the decision to refuse admission was not one which a reasonable authority would have made in the circumstances of the case;
(b) the child would have been offered a place if the school’s admission arrangements had been properly implemented.
Appeals will not be heard until all available places at the school have been offered and accepted.
Appeals will be heard at the beginning of July.
If you wish to appeal please contact the school and request an appeal pack or download and complete the form below.
Appeal forms and supporting documentation must be returned to the school by 1st June.
A hearing date will be arranged and you will be given at least ten school days’ written notification of this date.
You will be notified of the appeal panel’s decision within five school days of the appeal hearing.
